About Me
Born with curiosity
From a young age, I’ve wanted to learn how things work and create. Back then, it didn’t matter if I was writing music, building Legos, or drawing pictures; creativity was my release. To improve, I would watch hours of tutorial videos to learn the fundamentals of my favorite creative pursuits. That mindset of pure curiosity and problem-solving hasn’t left me, and it’s the first tool I reach for, no matter the project.
Built by Doing
If I’m not sure how to do something, I’ll dive in headfirst to learn. This tendency has led me to build a broad multimedia arsenal:
- Graphic Design
- Logo Design
- Project Management
- Event Management
- Copywriting
- Blogwriting
- SEO/SEM/AIO
- Media Buying
- Short/long-form Video Filming
- Short/long-form Video Editing
- Video Animation
- Logo Animation
- Content Strategy
- Print Design
- Sound Design
- Web Development
The Road

Of course, this skillset is not built overnight; I’ve been part of a plethora of projects, experiencing success, hardships, and failures.
My start in multimedia began with my mother’s real estate brand, “Courtney Leise Real Estate”. I created a cohesive brand image that aligned with her authenticity and style. When I saw that new branding increase her leads and business, it was a sign that I could use my creative skills in a professional setting.
In high school, I started my multimedia career. I became the lead graphic designer for my school newspaper, creating award-winning graphics for an article series titled “Patchwork Project”. Wrapping up high school, I made a solo photography/videography project called “Summer On Polaroid,” which garnered over 100,000 views on TikTok alone.
At Iowa State University, I began my freshman year as a leading contributor to “ICANdy,” a mental health initiative by the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication.
As a sophomore, I was hired as a peer mentor to shape Iowa's largest card-writing event, “Greetings From Greenlee”. In addition, I began my role as a resident assistant in Oak-Elm, where I helped build community and market events in a building of first-year students. Capping off my sophomore year, I started my own business, “Songbird Music Decor”, which creates music media for music fans across the United States.
In my Junior year, I served as the Digital Media Manager for the “Golden Heritage Agency”, a group that worked to create an advertising campaign for Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo, a luxury resort based in Urbino, Italy. Additionally, I was elected president of “Cardinal & Gold Creative Group,” an advertising agency-style club where we worked to create advertising materials for organizations on campus. In the summer of my Junior year, I interned at CIRAS, creating strategic social media plans, blog posts, and graphics to help Iowa businesses thrive.
Now
I’m currently in my senior year. I’ve continued working on Songbird Music Decor and serving as a resident assistant. Additionally, I’ve been getting more involved in Ames’ local music scene. I’ve started writing music reviews for KURE, the Ames alternative radio station, and volunteering for “The M-Shop,” a music venue in Iowa State’s Memorial Union.
I've had the wonderful opportunity to build a path of hands-on work, helping hundreds of students and capturing the attention of tens of thousands. I can’t wait to see where the road leads me next
